Why book with us
Van Repairs with clear advice.
When a van goes wrong, it is not just a repair bill. It is missed jobs, late deliveries and customers waiting. We understand that, so we diagnose the fault properly, tell you straight what it needs and give you a written quote before any work starts. We repair Ford Transits, Mercedes Sprinters, VW Transporters, Vauxhall Vivaros, Renault Trafics, Peugeot, Citroen and Fiat vans at our Oldbury workshop.
Vans wear differently to cars. Heavy loads are hard on brakes, springs and suspension bushes. Stop-start town work wears clutches and dual-mass flywheels. Short trips stop diesel particulate filters from cleaning themselves, which leads to DPF warnings and limp mode. EGR valves clog, AdBlue systems throw up warnings and injectors play up. These are the faults we see week in, week out, and we know where to look.
We start with the cause, not a guess. For warning lights and running problems we use diagnostic equipment to read fault codes and live data, then confirm the fault before replacing anything. That way you do not pay for parts you did not need. We fit parts to the right specification for your van, and if there is a choice between a cheaper option and a longer-lasting one, we explain the difference and let you choose.
If you run vans for a living, we are happy to work with you to keep them earning. Tell us how the van is used and when you need it back, and we will be honest about how long a job is likely to take. If your van is Class 4, up to 3,000kg, we can also carry out its MOT here. Heavier 3.5 tonne vans need a Class 7 test, which we do not do, but we repair those vans and can get them ready for their MOT.
We have been repairing vehicles in Oldbury since 1991, and we look after vans for businesses and drivers in West Bromwich, Rowley Regis, Smethwick and Halesowen too. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. If your van has a fault, a noise or a warning light, call us on 0121 544 3736 and tell us what it is doing.

Common questions
- What van repairs do you do?
- Most mechanical and electrical repairs. That includes brakes, clutches and flywheels, suspension, steering, exhausts, timing belts, and diesel faults such as DPF, EGR, AdBlue, injector and turbo problems. We also find and fix warning lights and electrical faults. Call 0121 544 3736 and describe what your van is doing.
- My van has gone into limp mode. What should I do?
- Limp mode cuts power to protect the engine. On diesel vans it is often linked to a blocked DPF, an EGR fault, a boost problem or an AdBlue issue. Keep driving to a minimum and get the fault codes read. We can scan the van, find the cause and tell you what it needs before any work is done.
- Why does my van keep getting a DPF warning?
- The DPF cleans itself during longer runs at steady speed. Vans that mostly do short local trips rarely get the chance, so soot builds up and the light comes on. A faulty sensor or an EGR problem can cause it too. We check what is behind it and advise whether a regeneration, a clean or a replacement is right.
- How do I know if my van's clutch is going?
- Common signs are the engine revs rising without the van speeding up, especially under load or uphill, a judder when pulling away, a heavy or high pedal, or a rattle at tickover that changes when you press the clutch. That rattle can point to the dual-mass flywheel. We will road test it and tell you what is worn.
- What does an AdBlue warning mean?
- AdBlue is a fluid many newer diesel vans use to cut emissions. A warning can mean the tank is low, but it can also mean a fault with the pump, heater, sensor or injector. Some vans count down to a no-start if it is not fixed. Bring it in and we will read the codes and find the cause.
- Do you give a price before starting work?
- Yes, always. We inspect or diagnose the van first, then give you a written quote covering parts and labour. We only start once you have approved it. If we find something else while we are working, we stop and call you before going any further.
- What parts do you use on vans?
- We use parts to the correct specification for your van, from OEM-equivalent to quality aftermarket brands depending on the job and your budget. Where there is a real difference between options, for example on clutches or brake parts, we explain it so you can choose what suits how you use the van.
- Can you MOT my van after the repairs?
- If your van is Class 4, with a design gross weight up to 3,000kg, yes, we can carry out the MOT here. We do not test Class 7 vans between 3,000kg and 3,500kg. We still repair those vans and can do a pre-MOT check so they are ready for their test at a Class 7 centre.
- What if my van breaks down?
- We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Call us on 0121 544 3736 and tell us what happened. If the van cannot be driven safely, do not risk it. Once it is with us at 93 Park Lane, Oldbury, we will diagnose the fault and give you a quote before any repair.
