Pre-MOT check
If your car is older, has high mileage or failed last year, a pre-MOT check lets you find the weak spots first. Book it a week or two before your test date so there is time to sort anything we find.

We carry out DVSA Class 4 MOTs in our own workshop, so we know what testers look for. After the check you get a list of anything likely to fail or be advised, with a quote, and you choose what to fix before your MOT.

- Is a pre-MOT check an official test?
- No. Nothing is recorded with the DVSA. It is a check for your benefit so you can deal with problems before the real MOT goes on record.
- Can I have the MOT straight after?
- Yes. We are a DVSA Class 4 test centre, and the MOT is £40. Call us and we can book the check and the test at times that work for you.
- Does a pre-MOT check guarantee a pass?
- No check can promise a pass, because some items are only fully assessed during the MOT itself. It does remove most of the easy fails and gives you a clear picture beforehand.
