Wheel alignment
This is for cars that pull, have an off-centre steering wheel or are wearing the edges of their tyres. We measure the angles and set them back to specification — book in after a pothole, kerb hit or new steering parts.

Wheel alignment with clear advice.
Alignment is about the angle the wheels sit at, not the tyres themselves. A knock from a kerb or pothole, or new track rod ends and suspension arms, can shift those angles enough to make the car drift and scrub the inner or outer edge of a tyre.
We measure the current settings, adjust them to the manufacturer figures where the car allows, and check the steering wheel sits straight on a road test. If a bent or worn part is stopping a correct setting, we tell you before going further.

Common questions
- How do I know my car needs an alignment?
- The car pulls to one side on a flat road, the steering wheel is not straight when driving ahead, or one edge of a tyre is wearing much faster than the rest.
- Should I have it done after new tyres?
- Only if the old tyres wore unevenly or the car pulls. If the new tyres are going on because the edges wore out, an alignment will stop the same thing happening again.
- Is alignment the same as balancing?
- No. Balancing stops vibration by adding weights to the wheel. Alignment adjusts the angle of the wheels so the car runs straight. Vibration through the wheel usually points to balancing; pulling points to alignment.
