Why book with us
Vauxhall Vivaro Servicing & Repairs Oldbury with clear advice.
The Vivaro is one of the most common mid-size vans on the road, and there are plenty working around Oldbury. Tradespeople like them for their load space and running costs. We service and repair all three generations at our workshop: the original Vivaro A, the Vivaro B from 2014 and the current Vivaro C. We also look after the smaller Combo and the larger Movano, following Vauxhall's schedule and using the right oils and parts.
Each Vivaro generation has its own habits. Older Vivaro A vans often need clutches and dual-mass flywheels, and can suffer injector and EGR faults. The Vivaro B with the 1.6 diesel can block its DPF and EGR on short local work. The Vivaro C uses AdBlue to cut emissions, and faults in the AdBlue system can bring on warnings and a countdown to a no-start. We know these vans and check for these faults.
A van off the road is lost income, so we keep things straightforward. We find the fault, tell you what is urgent and what can wait, and give you a written quote. Nothing is done without your approval. We use oils made to the right specification, including low-ash oil for DPF-equipped vans, and under block exemption rules a service with us keeps your warranty valid.
We are a DVSA-approved Class 4 MOT centre, covering vans up to 3,000kg design gross weight. Many Vivaros are plated at or under 3,000kg, and every Combo is Class 4, so we can test them here. Some Vivaros are plated heavier, and most Movanos are 3.5 tonnes, which means a Class 7 MOT that we do not do. We still service and repair those vans and can do a pre-MOT check.
We are a family business and have looked after vehicles in Oldbury since 1991, for drivers and businesses in West Bromwich, Rowley Regis, Smethwick and Halesowen too. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, at 93 Park Lane, Oldbury, B69 4LP, and you are welcome to drop in and talk to us. To book your Vivaro in, call us on 0121 544 3736 with the registration.

Common questions
- Can you MOT my Vivaro?
- If it is plated at up to 3,000kg, yes, as it will be Class 4. Many Vivaros fall into that bracket, but some are plated heavier and need a Class 7 MOT, which we do not do. The weight is on the plate in the door pillar. Call 0121 544 3736 with your registration if you want us to check.
- Why does my Vivaro judder when pulling away?
- A judder from a standstill usually points to a worn clutch or a failing dual-mass flywheel, especially on older Vivaro A vans that have done high miles. A rattle at idle that stops when you press the clutch is another sign. We road test the van and tell you exactly what is worn.
- What does an AdBlue warning mean on a Vivaro C?
- It may just mean the tank needs filling. If the tank is full and the warning stays, there is likely a fault in the pump, heater, sensor or doser. The van can count down to a no-start if it is not fixed. We read the codes and test the system to find the cause.
- Why does my Vivaro keep blocking its DPF?
- The DPF cleans itself on longer runs at steady speed. Vans doing short local work rarely get that chance, so soot builds up. Sensor faults, EGR problems and the wrong oil can make it worse. We find out what is going on and advise whether a regeneration, clean or replacement is right.
- Is the Vivaro the same as the Renault Trafic?
- The Vivaro A and B were built alongside the Renault Trafic and share a lot with it, including the engines. The Vivaro C is based on a different platform, shared with the Peugeot Expert and Citroen Dispatch. That matters for parts and faults, and we work on all of them.
- Do you work on the Combo and Movano?
- Yes. We service and repair the Combo and Movano as well as the Vivaro. The Combo is a small van and always Class 4, so we can MOT it here. Most Movanos are plated at 3.5 tonnes and need a Class 7 test elsewhere, but we can service, repair and prepare them.
- Will using you affect my Vauxhall warranty?
- No. Block exemption rules let an independent garage service your van without affecting the manufacturer warranty, as long as the work follows the schedule and uses parts and oils to the right specification. We do both and record every service.
- How do I book my Vivaro in?
- Call us on 0121 544 3736 or drop in to 93 Park Lane, Oldbury, B69 4LP. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Let us know your registration and what the van is doing, and we will give you a clear quote before we start.
