Why book with us
Citroën Van Servicing & Repairs Oldbury with clear advice.
Citroën vans do a lot of the everyday work around Oldbury. The Berlingo is a popular small van with plumbers, electricians and delivery drivers. The Dispatch is a practical mid-size van, and the Relay is a big panel van that carries serious loads. We service and repair all of them at our workshop, following Citroën's schedule and using oils and parts to the right specification for your engine.
Citroën vans share their engines and many parts with Peugeot, and the Relay is built alongside the Peugeot Boxer and Fiat Ducato. We see the same faults often. BlueHDi diesels use AdBlue, and problems with the tank, pump or sensors bring on warnings and a countdown to a no-start. Some older HDi vans use a fuel additive for the DPF. Clutches wear on working vans, and DPFs block on short runs.
We know your van is how you make your living. We look at it, tell you what we have found and what is urgent, and give you a written quote. Nothing is done until you say so. We use oils made to Citroën's specification, including low-ash oil for vans with a DPF, and under block exemption rules a service with us keeps your warranty valid.
We are a DVSA-approved Class 4 MOT centre, covering vans up to 3,000kg design gross weight. The Berlingo and Nemo are Class 4, and so are many Dispatches, so we can test them here. Most Relays are plated at 3.5 tonnes and need a Class 7 MOT, which we do not do. We still service and repair the Relay and can do a pre-MOT check before its test.
We are a family business and have looked after vehicles in Oldbury since 1991. We also see Citroën vans from West Bromwich, Rowley Regis, Smethwick and Halesowen. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, at 93 Park Lane, Oldbury, B69 4LP, and you are welcome to drop in and talk to us. To book your Citroën van in, call us on 0121 544 3736 with the registration.

Common questions
- Can you MOT my Citroën van?
- If it is plated at up to 3,000kg, yes. The Berlingo and Nemo are Class 4, and so are many Dispatches. Most Relays are plated at 3.5 tonnes, which means a Class 7 MOT that we do not do. Check the weight plate, or call 0121 544 3736 with your registration and we will help.
- My Berlingo has an AdBlue warning. What should I do?
- First check the AdBlue level and top it up if needed. If the warning stays with a full tank, there is probably a fault with the tank, pump, heater or sensor. Do not ignore it, as the van can count down to a no-start. We read the codes and find the cause.
- Why does my Citroën van keep blocking its DPF?
- The DPF burns off soot on longer runs at steady speed. Vans doing short local work rarely get that chance. On older HDi vans a low additive level can also cause problems. We check the sensors, additive and filter and advise whether a regeneration, clean or replacement is right.
- Are Citroën and Peugeot vans the same?
- Very close. The Berlingo shares with the Peugeot Partner, the Dispatch with the Peugeot Expert, Toyota Proace and Vauxhall Vivaro C, and the Relay with the Peugeot Boxer and Fiat Ducato. They share engines and many parts, so parts are easy to find and the faults are familiar to us.
- Does my Citroën van have a timing belt?
- Many Citroën diesel vans use a timing belt, and it must be changed at the interval Citroën sets. A belt that fails can do serious damage to the engine. Intervals vary by engine and year, so give us your registration and we will check whether yours is due.
- Why is my Relay clutch slipping?
- Relays often carry heavy loads in stop-start traffic, which wears the clutch faster. If the revs rise without the van picking up speed, especially uphill or loaded, the clutch is likely worn. We check the clutch and flywheel and give you a clear price before replacing anything.
- Will using you affect my Citroën warranty?
- No. Block exemption rules let an independent garage service your van without affecting the manufacturer warranty, as long as the work follows the schedule and uses parts and oils to the right specification. We do both and keep a record of every service.
- How do I book my Citroën van in?
- Call us on 0121 544 3736 or drop in to 93 Park Lane, Oldbury, B69 4LP. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Tell us the registration and what the van is doing, and we will give you a clear quote first.
