Why book with us

Peugeot Van Servicing & Repairs Oldbury with clear advice.

Peugeot vans are a common sight on Oldbury's streets. The Partner is a favourite for small trades and deliveries, the Expert is a capable mid-size van and the Boxer is a big panel van used by builders and couriers. We service and repair all of them at our workshop, following Peugeot's schedule, using oils to the right specification and finding faults properly before we fit any parts.

Peugeot vans share a lot with their Citroen sisters, and the Expert also shares its platform with the Vauxhall Vivaro C. The faults are well known. Newer BlueHDi diesels use AdBlue, and faults in the tank, pump or sensors can bring on warnings and a countdown to a no-start. Some older HDi vans use an additive to help clean the DPF, which needs topping up. Clutches wear on working vans, and short-run vans block their DPF.

A van off the road means jobs not done. We look at it, tell you what we have found, explain what is urgent and what can wait, and give you a written quote. Nothing is done without your approval. Under block exemption rules a service with us, using parts and oils to the right specification, keeps your manufacturer warranty valid.

We are a DVSA-approved Class 4 MOT centre, which covers vans up to 3,000kg design gross weight. The Partner, Rifter and Bipper are Class 4, and many Experts are too, so we can test them here. Most Boxers are plated at 3.5 tonnes and need a Class 7 MOT, which we do not do. We still service and repair Boxers and can do a pre-MOT check before the test.

We are a family business and have looked after vehicles in Oldbury since 1991, for drivers and businesses in West Bromwich, Rowley Regis, Smethwick and Halesowen too. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, at 93 Park Lane, Oldbury, B69 4LP, and you are welcome to drop in and talk to us. To book your Peugeot van in, call us on 0121 544 3736.

Common questions

Can you MOT my Peugeot van?
If it is plated at up to 3,000kg, yes. The Partner, Rifter and Bipper are Class 4, and so are many Experts. Most Boxers are 3.5 tonnes and need a Class 7 MOT, which we do not do. The weight is on the plate in the door pillar. Call 0121 544 3736 with your registration and we will check.
Why is my Peugeot showing an AdBlue warning?
It may just need topping up. If the tank is full and the warning stays, the cause is often a fault in the AdBlue tank, pump, heater or sensor. The van can count down to a no-start, so do not leave it. We read the codes and test the system to find what has failed.
What is the DPF additive on older Peugeot vans?
Some older HDi diesels use a fluid added to the fuel to help the DPF burn off soot. When it runs low, a warning comes on and the DPF can block. We check the level, top it up during servicing where needed and look for any underlying DPF fault.
Is the Peugeot Expert the same as the Vivaro?
The Expert from 2016 shares its platform and engines with the Citroen Dispatch, the Toyota Proace and the Vauxhall Vivaro C. The Partner shares with the Citroen Berlingo and the Boxer with the Citroen Relay and Fiat Ducato. That keeps parts easy to source and the faults familiar.
Does my Peugeot van have a timing belt?
Many Peugeot diesel vans use a timing belt, which must be changed at the interval Peugeot sets. A failed belt can cause serious engine damage. Intervals vary by engine and year, so give us your registration and we will tell you whether yours is due.
Why does my Boxer clutch keep wearing?
The Boxer is often worked hard, carrying heavy loads in stop-start traffic, which wears clutches faster. Riding the clutch and pulling away on hills with a full load add to it. We check the clutch and flywheel, explain what is worn and give you a clear price to replace it.
Will using you affect my Peugeot warranty?
No. Block exemption rules let an independent garage service your van without affecting the manufacturer warranty, provided the work follows the schedule and uses parts and oils to the right specification. We do both, and we stamp your book or update your digital record after every service.
How do I book my Peugeot van in?
Call us on 0121 544 3736 or drop in to 93 Park Lane, Oldbury, B69 4LP. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Let us know the registration and what the van is doing, and we will give you a clear quote first.
